Neville created an issue naming Rashford when he could’ve just said footballers in general. After all where are Liverpool players going, Arsenal, city? I’m sure they arnt at training grounds,they flew somewhere. If Rashford was on international duty he’d be flying anyway so what’s the difference when it’s his time off. He slept in a bed for a 5 hour flight, watched a game, chilled and slept in a bed back. Would’ve been more uncomfortable driving 5 hours to london
The best reason for letting Ruud go was because the players wanted him to stay. Also George Best was the exception that proves the rule when it comes to behaviour off the pitch.
I understand every player needs a break and a holiday. But like you point out, these are two players that haven’t been on international duty. So have they had other breaks?
Like others have said. It comes down to standards. And that individuals commitment. Should they go for a break or be there Monday morning to train with the new manager, showing commitment to United? I think the vast majority of United fans expected the latter. But maybe this jolly has been booked for ages, cleared by ETH when he was there etc. who knows?!
But it’s strange how these are the two players, who haven’t performed well over the last season. Rashford even longer. They probably know that too, yet chose to go away to the US. 🤷♂️

If I have a 5 days off. I can easily recover from a night out with 3/4 off in the coming. I think we are just nit picking now. I am sure City and Arsenal players do the same. It does not stop them from being better than us.
